Setting 2023 Ablaze
Hey tribe members!
How is your new year getting started? What are your big plans? Seriously, I would love to hear. It's the first week in February, so hopefully you've made some good ones if not, it's never too late. I want to share some of the big plans I’ve made for this year and share who I need to BE to achieve them. Plus, I have asked a few of you hold me accountable. :-)
My top goals:
1. Health! It is hard to be happy if you aren't healthy which is the foundation, I believe, to everything. Being my own advocate by understanding what's going on in my body, doing research, being proactive, and becoming knowledgeable is vital. Being mindful of what I am put in and on my body as well as my mind.
2. Business! Focus on my coaching and working directly with my clients. To do this, I have to outsource more tech and administrative tasks (TaskRabbit.com), work with a business coach.
3. Write! Take my dream of writing a book SUPER seriously: I write...kind of. To take writing seriously, I need to start making some changes in how I spend my time. I have added 15 minutes a day to my morning ritual. I will attend a writing conference soon, find a writing group, and get help!
4. Serving! "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Martin Luther King Jr. Instead of feeling completely overwhelmed at the endless pressing issues going on in the world, I have to do my part. Use my gifts. Show up and be consistent. Homelessness (dignityfordivas.org) and Prison reform through (https://seattlekingcountynaacp.wildapricot.org/).
To ensure I set myself up for success so that I don't abandon these big visions and goals, I needed to take a good, honest look at my current mindset. Who have I been (thoughts, beliefs, actions) that have kept these goals from being fulfilled? Example, as for Goal #2, I have wanted to write for at least the last ten years. So for me to set myself up for success this go around, I need to close that gap between who I have been versus who I have to BE to create the results I want.
I know significant shifts are required from my daily habits, choices, and decisions to how I show up which are based upon what I value! I value my health! I value my ability to share my passions and gifts with others. Lurking in the shadows of what we want is what we value. I also know I need HELP and I can’t do everything on my own. While there are so many stories about people writing books, losing hundreds of pounds, and finding that fantastic job, most people need a little something to help get them there.
My 2019 is all about getting help.
By using the tools from the coaching system that I follow and share, The BePrint (our tag line is "Doing Is The New Being) it helps me to be consistent. To remind myself of who I need to BE at any given time to ensure my decisions are in alignment with the goals I've set for myself. It helps me to make better decisions regarding how I spend my time, so I am always keeping my end game in mind. It helps me feel empowered to decline way more than I used to respectably.
It’s the new year, and while I can’t guarantee all of your dreams will come true if you are ready to try something new that will help you shift into a new way of BEing, I am here! I can give you the tools to help you get there. We can’t get where we've never been by doing the same things over and over again. So why not use new ways of BEing to design a new way of living?
Here's to BEing your fabulous self!
Namaste
